GIFT

親愛的珍妮佛：

理論上，這學期已經結束了，不過，我們又多了一周的輔導課。最可怕的是，新的課表是在寒輔的前三天才知道，且超過了30堂。這意思是，每天是五到七節課，且是新的課程。到了第三天，我已經累到不行，脾氣變得超差。所以，當最後一節上完時，我超開心，忙碌了近七個月，終於有一段時間可以休假。

也是這麼剛好，多美妮約了一些朋友到小倫敦(Little London)談談天，喝喝小酒。這家小店提供很多的酒，也有咖啡及點心，是一個很舒服的地方。相形之下，前一次吃耶誕大餐的On Tap，就較熱鬧多了。我選了一瓶杏桃的啤酒，慢慢地喝了起來。結果，當我喝完時，同桌的友人已經喝完二瓶。我真是太丟臉了。看來在英國特訓後的酒量，已經完全不行了。  

很開心在台北有這樣的小地方，有這一些朋友，在交談之間，又開始對世界有好奇。

Dear Jennifer, 

Literally, this term had finished last week. However, one-week winter course continuously carries on after that. For me, the most horrible thing was that course arrangement sheet were delivered at the final day of the term. ><  It meant that we had limited time, which was only two days, to prepare all of our teaching materials. In addition, extra one third  of teaching hours, which was up to 30, devastated all of energy we could have. It was massively crazy!!!

When I had done the last class Friday afternoon, it was impossible to  forget how happy I was. After hard working over seven months, I deserve a complete holiday in which I can do anything.

Coincidently, Dominique invited me to join a small gathering with her friends at Little London, which was a cozy British coffee in Taipei, in comparison with on tap. Multiple beer were available there. I had one battle of apricot while others had two battle of beers. It was shame that I failed to have one more battle. 

I felt content that we had a nice chat, which inspired my curiosity of unknown world again, at such a cozy and exotic place.
